Ashley Lewis

Ashley graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, where she concentrated in Childhood and Special Education. She was a member of both the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and the Alpha Chi National Scholastic Honor Society; she was also a Mount Saint Mary College Aquinas Scholar.  Her love of reading and passion for education led to her return to Mount Saint Mary College, where she graduated with a Master of Science in Literacy Education in 2012. 

For 8 years, Ashley enjoyed her role as a Reading Intervention Teacher working at the elementary level. During this time, she gained valuable experiences and became fascinated with online learning. As an educator, Ashley’s interests included understanding a variety of learning theories and strategies, creating engaging lessons inclusive of all learners, collaborating with her colleagues, and inspiring lifelong learningAshley dedicated countless hours to building her craft through participating in various professional development opportunities and completing additional courseworkShe’s excited to share her knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, instructional design to help others grow and achieve their professional goals.  

Ashley was born and raised in the Hudson Valley, where she currently resides with her husband, Matt. She loves spending time with her family and friends, running, hiking, and reading
