Open Enrollment Programs
Immersive programs for individuals and teams are blended learning experiences held regularly at The Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point and reflect the comprehensive TLDG 4-Pronged Learning Approach to developing leaders of character. Designed for mid-to senior-level leaders, across all industries, who want proven, practical tools for what it means to be a more effective, inspiring leader. Open Enrollment is a fully interactive and exclusive experience that demonstrates the meaningful connections between military leadership, and leadership in the corporate, governments, and non-profit sectors.
Participants receive practical, insightful guidance on how to:
- Explore your personal leadership principles and purpose
- Become more resilient in difficult times
- Leverage chaos to enhance mission success
- Develop and maintain trust
- Resolve conflict through negotiations
- Build ethical climates
- Leverage social networks, and much more.
Our faculty are all inspirational leaders of character who have demonstrated superior leadership skills in highly challenging and ever-changing situations leading teams and individuals in extraordinary circumstances. Their experiences and knowledge help facilitate discussions that bring theory to life and provide mentorship and guidance in small, interactive experiential sessions that reflect the leadership principles, values, and ethics from the Army and West Point. Participants actively hone these concepts and apply the skills through experiential activities, while simultaneously expanding their professional network.
**New for 2019**— We are enhancing our onsite Open Enrollment programs with a blended learning approach that includes two of our TLDG Online courses! Participants will begin their experience virtually with our “Leading with Character and Competence” online course prior to arriving at West Point, and continue with our “Leading with Purpose” online course following their program onsite. Although the learning activities are asynchronous, the online courses require participants to pace with their cohort through each lesson in order to enhance interactions and opportunities for shared-learnings. The multi-media activities include videos, readings, large and small group discussions, and self-reflections.
Note: Pre-work online course begins 2 weeks before the onsite program dates listed below, and is paced with one 45-minute lesson per day for five days. Post-work online course begins approximately 10 days after the conclusion of the onsite program, and is paced with one 45-minute lesson per week for five weeks.
