Jen Smith

Senior Experiential Manager

Jen graduated from the University of Richmond Summa Cum Laude from the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. She attended Airborne School, served as the Battalion Commander for her ROTC department, and graduated top 1% of all ROTC graduates in the country. Upon graduation Jen received a commission as an Engineer 2nd Lieutenant and served as a Platoon Leader and then Company Commander at Fort Bragg, NC. In her last position in the Army she served as the Brigade Assistant S3, managing several special projects for a 3000+ organization. 

After four-plus years in the militaryJen separated from the Army as a Captain, but continued to serve as a military spouse. Happily married to another Engineer Officer, Jen has lead her own four children and numerous Army families as their Family Readiness Group Leader through over 35 months of deployment and training separation.  She earned her Fitness Instructor Certification in 2009 and has taught Bootcamps and Indoor Cycling Classes from Germany to West Point to Alaska. Jen is passionate about leading others to a fit and healthy lifestyle and sharing what she has learned from her Army experience. She is active in her community, serving in leadership positions for Protestant Women of the Chapel, Young Life military and serving as her children’s sports coach.

Jen’s personal interests include bible study, reading, hiking, alpine and nordic skiing, exercise in all pursuits, time with her four children and high school sweetheart.
