"Our two and a half day session with the Thayer Leader Development Group was one of the best leadership programs we’ve ever done. We are a group of 13 partners that together run the Investor Services business at BBH. Our group is on the small side for TLDG and it's quite international with three from Asia and two from Europe. Going in, we were a bit concerned that some of our participants might react negatively to military-themed leadership training, particularly our overseas partners. But the responses were universally positive and especially strong on the experiential learning activities, Orienteering and Bootcamp. We experienced first-hand the frustration of impaired, disrupted or no communication and we came away understanding that learning the craft of constructive "following" can be just as valuable as learning the craft of leadership. A lot of our time was spent in outdoor exercises but it's clear to us that the lessons we learned are equally relevant to an office setting. We highly recommend the TLDG for any team – even if you think you don’t have the time to focus on leadership development. They cram a lot of useful lessons and unforgettable experiences together into a short and efficient program. "Duty, Honor, Custody…HOOAH!"
